April was the quickest and yet the slowest month ever. More so than February; thank you COVID-19 :’) There was a lot of tea & coffee consumption, a ton more baking, soooo much school work, and pretty Spring walks. Here’s to the April ’20 Edit of the Things I Love!!
Happiness from walks, writing, and words
I HAD to include allll of these pretty flower shots because this particular evening light & the divine fragrance of these flowers was worthy of a full-on monument. Morning walks are my usual because there are less people out, and as much as I love strolls through the dusk, the cool, fresh, morning air has been something else this month.

There have been countless clear skies, orchestras from the birds perched on the trees, lilting flower patches that have been brushed by the breeze, and a wonderful sense of calm to start the day.
Writing—whether through journalling, creative non-fiction, or on the story I started in March—has been so pleasant.
I’ve been reading pieces from The Paris Review, Tiny Seed, and Poetry Foundation, and it’s been another lovely way to kickstart everything.
Mornings, baking, & decorating
This month, I have made scones, my first pie (it was too sweet but not a bad start for pie-making), more banana loaves, some banana muffins, cookies, biscuits, and more. Spring decorations went up, and the house has been full of fresh morning/evening air, and nice smells coming from the oven. Mornings consist of brewing some coffee or heating up some water for a smooth earl grey, making yummy breakfasts (like an English muffin with ham, cheese, and butter), and reading for a bit. (Mornings are a highlight of the April ’20 Edit, can you tell?)
Entertainment!!

Easter Sunday saw the end of Lent, and i had my first Starbucks AHHH. (And I had loads of rewards from my excessive Starbucks consumption pre-Lent, so I got this drink for free!!!)
Made floofy coffee. It was a success. Too much work though, not sure if I want to do again.
Have been sunbathing & exercising outdoors—a sis is getting tan once more YEEHAW.
Started LES MIS! Originally, was planning on doing so over Summer, because, duh, more time, but now is actually the perfect time to get a head start.

Baby Yoda. I FINALLY started watching Mando & I save that for Friday nights hehe. Also, I miss watching films, so I’ve allotted movie time for the weekends (shows for the week), and it’s such a delightful thing to look forward to.
Other Things
being consistent w/school work + working hard = very rewarding // writing about Dunkirk for one of my research papers = VERY fun // my little cousin’s birthday // being in on a surprise with my dad to get my siblings their own laptops // reading in the evenings in the living room while my mom makes dinner // watching old family videos // sticking to my daily routine & having s t r u c t u r e // my mini-reviews on some quality reads
That’s it for the April ’20 Edit of the Things I Love!! What have been some of the highlights of your month? I hope you’re doing well & are staying stable & healthy <3 xxx
