12 Days of Blogmas 2019
Merry Christmas to all!! I know everyone is busy & happy with their families, so this won’t get seen until tomorrow (at least). But that’s okay! I have soaked up these last few days which is why today’s post is going up Christmas Day rather than Christmas Eve, as I had originally planned :’) Today’s final installment of Blogmas is a part of a piece I wrote called “Two Seasons.” This is the Christmas portion. (The other is Summer, and I’ll probably share that when it’s Summer :’)) I hope this creative writing piece, “Christmas” invokes warm, happy, magical feelings <3

“Two Seasons: Christmas”
Magic is in the air. You can almost touch it. Everywhere you go, there is a little more laughter, a few more smiles, and a whole lot more kindness.
Lights are twinkling; Bing Crosby is singing, and the ornaments are hanging. The fireplace jumps happily, and there is warmth everywhere.
Warmth in the eyes of strangers. Warmth in the car, when I turn on the heater. Warmth in the pumpkin bread my tia made me. Warmth in the love between my family, as we sit together, listening to my father read of Advent. My soul is drinking it all up, so much so that I might just burst with joy.
My grandmother is seasoning the roast. My tio turns on A Christmas Story. Outside, it is raining; water drip, drip, drips from the gutter to the window pane.
Christmas is all around me; it’s everywhere I go for approximately 25 days of sheer loveliness. Christ is come again.

I’m so glad that I could close out Blogmas 2019 with a little creative writing piece, “Christmas,” that’s from a slightly longer bit of prose, entitled “Two Seasons.” (Coming in 6 months or so ;)) Merry Christmas!! May your days be merry & bright, thank you for reading along with me this December <3 xxxx
