12 Days of Blogmas 2019
Now, this isn’t the most festive of posts, but I took these pretty flatlays, and by golly, am I going to use them, even if I don’t have a plan :’) Winging it is my specialty at this point. (Day 12–the last and final day of Blogmas 2019–will be verrrry Christmassy, so be on the lookout for that, if you wish.) I’ve been a bit burnt out since finishing the semester, so I’m just glad I have the desire to keep Blogmas going, honestly. :’) So, here are some of my Christmas break plans! I’d like to relax in a productive way, and I’m gonna share that with you.
R&R Plans

READ. I’ve only been able to get through about two books since Thanksgiving break 🙁 School drained me completely on the home stretch. I have a delicious, school-free, work-free, 8 days left before the end of the year, and I will be able to get through SO MANY BOOKS BEFORE THEN. Watch me gooo over on Goodreads 😉
Netflix days (& nights). I will finally have some time to waste, and while I will certainly not be spending ~that~ much of my time staring at a screen, it is going to happen to some degree. Blankets, hot cocoa, herbal tea, and all Christmas films!! (Even past the 25th because I extend my celebrations since it would be too depressing otherwise.)

Refine & refresh my exercise routine. (Oooh, that’s two other good R’s ;)) I am NOT waiting for New Years Day; I am NOT waiting for Monday. I get back to the grind on the 26th!! Weight-lifting is now one of my favourite new interests, and I’m too excited to finally get back to it after about a month of doing the bare minimum (aka running/walking, and some abs–thank you, school, ugh). Exercise, over the last couple of years, has become a priority of mine that I now love and can’t go without. It’s definitely r&r for me!
Journaling! I’m finally going to start writing in The Severed Moon by Leigh Bardugo. (Thank you, Audrey 😉 <333) I’ve decided to incorporate this into my routine in the mornings. I’m also going to focus on my other creative writing outlets–my personal journal, poetry pieces, and prose essays.
Productive Plans

Studying
Devotional-studying. For the last couple of months, I’ve had a strong desire to get back to breaking down the Bible and focusing on particular books or passages. I’m so blessed to have access to the complete Bible and so many other resources that allow me to understand it better, so many of my Christian brothers & sisters in other places of the world don’t have that same privilege. How can I not take advantage of what I’ve been given? I can’t take all of this for granted, and I don’t want to do so in the future.

Following this train of thought, I want to study apologetics again! I’ve been reading this book for way too long & not prioritising it. This is one of the resources that I learned the foundations of years ago when I was younger. I’ve studied bits and pieces of apologetics over the years, looking things up when I need to, but it’s time for me to get serious about this again! I want to develop a plan & time schedule for this and devotional-studying so that I can stick to it. Very excited to be a little nerd haha.

Learning & Blogging
Start learning a new language. I would like to continue refining my Spanish, so I can reach fluency again, but I also want to add a totally new language and become bilingual. (Not sure which one yet!) Eventually, I hope to have mastered six other languages aside from English: Spanish, French, German, Russian, Latin (yes, wild), and Elvish. (IT IS REAL. S/o to Tolkien!)
Get a head start on blog admin for the end of the year & 2020. I want to plan posts, clean up old ones, work on SEO for all my pre-WP posts, schedule tweets, & be proactive about the blog in general. I hit a lot of blogging goals in 2019, & I’m aiming to make 2020 more successful!! I’d like to utilise more Lyrical Host resources–they’re the BEST hosting company everrr.
One more day of Blogmas left!! Christmas is so close, I can almost taste it. What are your Christmas break plans? Whether it’s two weeks, two days, or somewhere in between, I’d love to hear them <3
