Now, onto Marie’s questions!!

What’s an underrated read you’d recommend EVERYONE to read?
Oh, I have no idea. I always want to say a classic even though that means it’s not technically underrated :’) I think I will stick to my guns there & pick An Old-Fashioned Girl by Louisa May Alcott. She is widely (& rightfully) known for her absolute star, Little Women (& its sequels), and I think AOFG is less familiar. In my opinion, it deserves so much more.
Do you like book series, or do you prefer standalone reads?
Oooh. I think my answer is book series judging by what I consider to be my favourite reads ever: LOTR, Narnia, Sherlock, Anne, etc.
What are some of your favourite book-to-movie (or tv show!) adaptations?
- 100000% Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit
- Right next to that, Andrew Adamson’s adaptations of the 3 major Narnia novels (the 1st one is the best one huh ;))
- The BBC’s take on Sherlock
- The Kevin Sullivan miniseries of Anne
- Sense & Sensibility starring Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant, and Kate Winslet
- The 2005 Pride & Prejudice film
- And a bit more :’)
Do you have any reading goals for this year?
Yes! I wrote all about them at the start of the year. The main gist is that I’d like to hit a 60 book total, expand into more genres, and read one classic a month!
What’s your favourite thing about your book blog?
Hmmm, can I say everything? :’) I don’t know what to pick!! I’m just so happy that I bettered this space & made it my own when I moved over to WordPress, went self-hosted, and got a shiny new theme. Rebranding as Brine & Books has been so fun, and since then, creativity has felt even more effortless.

Where’s your favourite place to interact with the bookish community?
The comment section on my posts or theirs!! I feel like that’s one of the best places you can get to know other bloggers. Instagram comes second. Come be friends with me over there 😉
Do you have a favourite song?
This is unbearably hard to answer!!! I have too many favourites by all my favourite artists. I’ll pick one or two songs from ~some~ of my top fav artists heheh.
- Switchfoot: Saltwater Heart & Oxygen
- Harry Styles: Golden
- Franki Valli & the 4 Seasons: Opus 17
- City Alight: The Love of the Father
- Al Bowlly: I Love You Truly

If you could live in any place in the world, imaginary or not, where would it be?
Easy, it’s a split-tie between the Shire &/or Narnia during the Golden Age!
Describe your perfect reading nook!
A large window seat with cushions, blankets, candles, and a cup of earl grey surrounding me, with a blazing fireplace on the hearth, and a cool, starry, summer night outside.
That’s it for this post!! I tag anyone to do this because you’re all kind & sweet, and I encourage you to answer Marie’s questions because I don’t think I could improve them at all :’) Also, everyone on that favourite’s list of mine are individuals I consider worthy of this title! Thank you again, Marie, for this Awesome Blogger Award nomination <3
