The starred quarantine month has passed us by, already! It is very strange to find myself in April once again. My ig archive/snap memories are such a vivid reminder of what the world looked like a year ago, and all of the self-isolation memories I was happily making with my family. In any case, we are here now, with the March ’21 edit upon us, and April’s promises are new everyday.
march begins
March was inaugurated with one of the most enjoyable morning rambles of my lifetime. I exclaimed it about in more depth in “Zephyrus.” (I also wrote about 1.5k words for my novel in the wee hours of that morning; it was a fantastic day for writing.)
mid-month murmurs
The month was fairly quiet and peaceful. I had my midterm break in the middle of it, and it was quite a lovely time. For one sweet week, I lazied about, doing nothing but reading, bulk content creation, and whatever else fancied me at the moment. I devoured Circe, and I’m considering writing about that in the future to share here. I also thoroughly enjoyed the morning I wrote the final instalment of The Lord of the Rings bookish snippets: Return of the King. It was a wonderful way to revisit the story and get my Tolkien fix as I wait for Ez & Lane to release another episode of the Unexpected Podcast.
Starting my new set of classes—particularly the senior capstone seminar & my Bible class—has been very fun! I’m enjoying those two so much, and I’m so glad I picked them for the latter half of the semester as they’re so interesting and a lot easier than the usual, which helps my ever-burgeoning senioritis :’)
mount hermon
The highlight of the month was the trip we took in the last week to Scott’s Valley/Mount Hermon. It was delightfully exquisite to get away from the valley for some fresh mountain and seaside air. This latest dalliance with those familiar hills, winding roads, and pretty spots was full of delicious food, invigorating exercise, the snapping of my minolta, reading Lewis’ Space Trilogy late into the night, and the wonderful company of my family.
Speaking of the Space Trilogy—holy cow. When I tell you I ATE those up. I ~inhaled~ books two and three, especially. I’m really looking forward to writing about those!
birthdays celebrated/remembered & other nice things

farewell, march
