Okay, I’m so tired of STILL not being here, and I’m tired of waiting for myself to get around to writing up my 2022 reading goals, the big 2021 reading digest, etc. So. Here we are, with something I was waiting to share with you all. This is a little “filler” photo dump for this space before I can recommit to a routine with Brine & Books again!
Our annual trip to Mount Hermon this year saw us making acquaintance with two cabins that we hadn’t yet stayed in. Though both were darling, the Scandinavian styled cottage, with all of its endearing and quaint decorations, was my personal favourite. Since I never shared these photos anywhere aside from my VSCO, and because I never ended up paying any real tribute to the Autumn of last year, here are some photos from this bewitching little cabin.

Aren’t these the most darling little nooks?! I am particularly obsessed with the stove area and the hanging mugs. Thinking I’m going to need similar hooks in my own kitchen space one day.

The indoor-outdoor porch/balcony — aka the best part
I will NEVER get over the gorgeous lighting in this room. The morning sun in this room was ethereal, soft, and dreamy. The red shingles, the furniture, the lamps…. all so utterly cosy and inviting. I could have stayed in this room for the entire weekend, reading, nanowrimo’ing, and drinking all the tea and coffee.

As the busyness of this year has already begun, in full swing, and with a time-consuming energy I have not experienced until now, I have looked back to this weekend trip with a sigh. Already, however, I am anticipating our next trip to this area! Hiking trails and dear mountain air, I shall tread your paths and breathe you in once more in mid-April, Lord willing…
