I can’t believe it’s already time to write this up. My 2019 Christmas Decor??? How has this year flown by so unbelievably quickly?! I feel like I was just writing up last year’s post on my festive room. Well, I guess we’re here, and we’re just going to have to deal with it :’)
I love that I feel like my room gets better every year in terms of how I decorate and what the finished product of my room is. This year is no exception. The addition of my bookcase & desk hutch has given me so much more space to work with.
The photos might not be as good as I wanted them to be (other than the intentional addition of dust, for the vintage look lol) because the natural lighting has been dimmer due to the cloudy days of rain! Not gonna complain though, California needs it, and I love it :’) Hope y’all enjoy it anyway.
I’m actually cutting this post in half, so to speak. I loved the pictures I got of my Christmas tree, so I’m going to give that its own post. It’ll be here, next week, on the 12th, if you’re interested in seeing that 🙂 I had it in an entirely new spot, and I love how it turned out! It’s always my fav part hehe.
Shall we delve into 2019 and its Christmas decor surprises?
Desk & Hutch
These are from the three little cubed shelves at the centre of my desk hutch. I have SO many little bits and bobs that I’ve collected over the years, so it’s always really fun when I decide where and how I’m going to place them. It’s such a nice feeling when you feel like everything is perfectly placed :’)

This is the very top shelf of the hutch. You can’t really see it, but Pooh, Tigger, and Piglet are all sitting on a little wooden “basket” with the words “X-MAS CANDY KIT” painted on it. Since I have never accomplished getting it fully filled up, I just thought it would make for a nice bench for them. The ensemble came out so cute, so I’m glad I did that hehe.
I just added some more of the smaller bits to decorate the actual desk. That Santa looks like a real Father Christmas, doesn’t he?
Bookcase
These are definitely the photos that came out the “worst” because they’re at the side of the window, so the sun is at the “back” of the bookcase, and it’s a bit harder to get nicer lighting. How cute is that snowman at the top though?? :,( My mama & daddy got it for me when I was smol, and it’s so funny because my mom actually forgot that she did, and she found it in her closet back in 2017. That was the first year it was ever up in my room :’)
I just tried to add a lot of red, green, & gold to my bookshelves, and I’m pretty happy with the result! I also have loads of pinecones that I wasn’t sure where I would put, and this became the perfect place.
Nativity Scene & Bulletin Board

This has traditionally always been on my dresser, which used to be the focal point of my room. However, when I rearranged things this summer to make space for my desk & bookcase, it’s ~sorta~ lost that. (This year, that’s where my tree is, so I guess it retained that status for this holiday haha.)

I pulled out my bulletin board and thought I’d get some use out of it. It’s been a while since I’ve created a collage with it, so I picked out some of my Christmas cards (hey Audrey, thanks for your sweet one 😉 <3) ; leftover ornaments, and some ribbon. This is a little off-center, but heigh-ho, derry dol.
That’s my 2019 Christmas Decor ~almost~ come and gone already. Seriously cannot get over just how quickly each year seems to be in comparison with the last. Have you decorated for Christmas yet? Do you wait until Christmas Eve, or do you pull it out as soon as Halloween is over? Or somewhere in between? 😉 That’s definitely me hehe. See y’all in two, for some more 12 Days of Blogmas!
