April was such a lovely month! I made a lot of happy memories, and I enjoyed the sunnn coming out to bless us as well as the rain to keep us grounded :’)
1. I finished my 90-day full Bible reading plan 😮 It was so so hard at times; at one point, I got a week and a half behind, and I had to read/listen to it so much to get back on track :’) It usually takes me about a year to read through it all, and the last couple of years I haven’t focused on reading it through like I should have. Instead, I skipped around a lot, did different devotionals, and I hadn’t read it through in a long while. I decided that I would start 2019 off by getting back into it and reading it through within the space of three months, and I’m proud that I managed to do it!
2. Auburn basketball did not make it past the Final Four round of March Madness, but I had the most fun rooting for my boys and watching them defeat two #1 seed teams when no one expected them to. The tournament carried over into April, and I enjoyed the wins while they lasted.

3. I finally posted a book review on this little old blog, and I was so excited to do so!!! As I mentioned in the closing remarks of my review of Dunkirk: Retreat to Victory, I didn’t say in my blog goals for this year that I wanted to start making my space here a bookish blog because I was afraid I wouldn’t actually do it, but I’m slowly starting to. I hope you all will stick with me as I do so. If I can get anywhere near having a book blog like the lovely Evie Jane, Emily of Yes Whale, or Christine of The Uncorked Librarian (all incredible women with gorgeous book/lifestyle blogs), I will consider that a huge accomplishment.
4. I became more active over on my Instagram!! I’m going to try and post two to three times a week on there and fill my feed with pretty pictures. I don’t really focus on the stats or businessy aspect of it all as this is all just a hobby for me, but I’ve enjoyed it nonetheless. Follow Laura @_snowlaura because her feed is delightfully pretty, and it’s been my fav this past month.
5. My brother and dad went to see a Giants game in SF and stayed overnight, so my mom, sister, and I had a girls-night in. We got Chinese and Starbucks, watched Yours, Mine and Ours as well as Christopher Robin, and had the best time hanging out and whinging about the way our drinks ended up turning out (my frappe looked WILTED, and I had been looking forward to it all day haha).

6. A PIGEON CAME AND NESTED UNDER OUR PORTE COCHERE AND HAD LITTLE BABY BIRDIES!!1!!11!!1!!! Mama Birdie nested there as Easter break began; babies were born on Tuesday of that week, and they all flew the nest by the following Wednesday. It was sooooo cute, and I enjoyed showing the pictures to my grandma who loooooves birds so much.
7. Easter break was lovely and much needed. I spent time with a couple of friends, bought some cute dresses, laughed so hard whilst watching Seven Brides for Seven Brothers with my family, stayed up late a couple nights watching some of the Harry Potter films, watched my Celtics sweep the Pacers in the first round of the NBA playoffs, and had the best Easter with the most laughs over some games we played after dinner.
All in all, April was filled with laughter. I now face the last 4 weeks of the semester, and I cannot wait for Summer–there’s so much to look forward to I just CAN’T!!! What were your highlights of this last month?! Please share with me in the comments! <3
