I just wanted to share a quick recap of the Things I Love: 2019 Edit! A bit of a highlight reel of things outside of my “life-life”, aka the things I talked about in my last post (:
Things I Love… ’19 edition
Blogging:
“Meeting” & engaging with Audrey, Carina, Evie, Marie, Geraldine, Lauren, Christina, & Kathy was so lovely; I am eternally grateful for these online friendships.
Being consistent about posting at least 3x a month, every month was an accomplishment–I’m happier with what I’m writing & how I deliver it!
Life:
I became a better Christian, moved more towards independence, became a lot more organised, worked on my writing, and handled my transfer to CSUF pretty well.
Life was enjoyed more. I felt life more. Pismo, Switchfoot, and the mundane days in between. Reading so much more this year enhanced everrrything.
Memories:
There’s so much! Accidentally ordering a Chinese from a town 45 mins away when we were in Pismo (my dad & tio drove to get the order & returned to very hungry wives & kids), to rooting Auburn on with all the stresses of being a sports fan, or considering pursuing my masters in English–2019 has been wonderfully wild & absolutely delicious.
Instagram: I am SO happy to have “met” some of the loveliest people on this platform. During the Spring of ’19, a group of us came together to help each other out with engagement, and we’ve gone above & beyond that by offering one another advice, encouragement, & so much more support. I’m gonna link the blogs/IGs all of these lovely ladies–please check them out!!

literally my fav two things of 2019:
Podcasts: I fell in LOVE with a Lord of the Rings podcast that I discovered in February or March of last year. It’s called An Unexpected Podcast, and it was, by FAR, the greatest find of my 2019. If you are a fan of Tolkien, this is truly a must. If you’re thinking about delving into LOTR, why not read them chapter by chapter, following along with Ezra & Lane’s quality re-read & entertaining analysis?!?!
Ez & Lane’s creation of the Further Up: Lookin’ for Lewis podcast, that has the addition of Lane’s lovely wife, Sarah, is another favourite because they’re doing a read-through of The Chronicles of Narnia!!! My two favourite book series are being read & talked about by this lovely group of friends.
The community & “fellowship” that has emerged from this is so heartwarming. This circle of friends, far and wide, is one of kindness & warmth. I can’t wait to be even more immersed in these two groups in 2020!
Other little bits: improving my photography game during the second half of the year, listening to more & more old music (yeehaw 40s & 50s music), continuing my initial watch of The West Wing, running, running, running, lifting weights, and soooo much more.
